Kelly ran a marathon… and wound up running a house. With a ghost in it.

Kelly Mellios is a stunning, athletic woman, who has learned—the hard way—to value herself. Having just finished her first marathon in the alluring Greek town of Nafplio, she bumps into Alex, a gorgeous widower with three underage children, who is desperately looking for a housekeeper.

The timing seems perfect, seeing that Kelly aches to start a new life, and Nafplio seems like the ideal place to settle down. She accepts the position on the spot, but little does she know that Alex’s house has an extra inhabitant that not even the family knows about…

The house is haunted by Alex’s late wife, who has unfinished business to tend to. By using the family pet, a quirky pug named Charlie, the ghost is able to communicate with Kelly and asks her for help. She claims she wants to ensure her loved ones are happy before she departs, but offers very little information about her plans.

Kelly freaks out at first, but gradually finds herself itching to help. It is evident there’s room for improvement in this family… Plus, her growing attraction towards Alex is overpowering…

Will Kelly do the ghost’s bidding? How will it affect her? And just how strange is this pug?

What better time for a writer to give thanks?

Caught up by the Thanksgiving spirit as the great American holiday approaches, I find myself counting my blessings, here too, on the other side of the pond.

This month marks six years since I started out as an indie writer, knowing no one at the time who could teach me a single thing or give me even the most basic of tips. As I taught myself Twitter, blogging, and a staggering amount of other things, it is no surprise to me now, thinking back, that I used to wake and go to bed daily feeling the trepidation gnawing at my insides like a wild animal, to say the least. I got two frozen shoulders triggered by stress since then to prove it – but I soldiered on.

Luckily, my persistence and resilience paid off and, soon, I found a series of mentors who sent me off on my way with newfound confidence. Later, the gifts of partnership and friendship with a plethora of incredibly talented authors followed and, ultimately, I found the best blessing of all – the opportunity to connect with a multitude of people online who later became my loyal readers and supporters.

A song about the Parthenon Marbles

June 20, 2019 was the anniversary of ten years since the opening of the Acropolis Museum in Athens. Greek singer Hellena chose this day to present a song to the world about the Parthenon Marbles (aka Parthenon Sculptures), dedicated to support the  just cause of their repatriation to Greece since the looting of the Parthenon by Lord Elgin in the early 1800s.

Héllena is a singer/songwriter born in the shadow of the Mountain of the Gods, Olympus, in Greece. She has played at some of the most renowned venues such as The Troubadour and The Beatles’ Cavern Club. In addition, she has charted in the Top 20 MTV Unsigned listing and performed at SXSW. Live appearances on the likes of BBC London Radio 94.9FM have further enhanced Héllena’s exposure.


Her new Single entitled “The Parthenon Marbles (Bring Them Back)” is both inspired by, and dedicated to, the Parthenon Marbles which are currently residing unlawfully in the possession of the British Museum. The song will be used by organizations around the world to raise awareness of an issue which originates from over 200 years ago brought about by the defacement of the Parthenon by the British ambassador Lord Elgin.

This is a stripped back recording with piano and vocal in order to intensify its raw emotion and make the meaning of the song clear, which is to right the wrongs of the past and reunify the Parthenon.
