A plethora of kindle book deals and sunny photos from Greece

Hi there! Today, I have a lot to share! A load of kindle books and sunny pics from Greece too.

Here, I am pictured in the village of Vikos in Zagori. I stand at a precipice that overlooks Vikos Gorge. It was an enthralling place to sit at and marvel at the beauty or nature. This is an old photo, but the travel report I wrote for Zagori and filled with travel tips and stunning photographs is brand new!

I took this photo last week at the marina of Nea Peramos, the little town near Athens that I call home (and my little paradise!) I took a bunch of photos on two consecutive days – a day with dramatic grey skies and one blessed with sunshine. You’re welcome to check them all out here.

This is a photograph of the legendary and mysterious Byzantine church of Agia Theodora Vasta in the Peloponnese. I had the privilege to visit it last Sunday on a blissfully sunny day.

This tiny church has seventeen trees sprouting from its roof and the mystery about it is that no one knows where the roots are, or how they never destroyed the church across the centuries. No trace of root, trunk or foliage visible inside the church either! The only thing that could explain the mystery is the legend of Agia Theodora…

An anecdote about Charlie, the quirky pug from Running Haunted #pugs #dogs #newbooks

My new rom com, Running Haunted, has been out for a month so I think my little confession is well overdue! Especially as it’s bound to make you chuckle. So here goes:

When I was first writing the character of the quirky pug, his name was originally ‘Jack’. Halfway into writing the book, I changed the dog’s name into ‘Charlie’ by using Word’s ‘Find and Replace’ function. In a single sweep, the change was effected throughout the manuscript. Next thing I knew, I was editing the book and laughing like a drain. I kept finding odd things like ‘charlieet’ and ‘Charlie in a box’! Lesson learned: Never change a character’s name once you’ve started writing haha!

But it wasn’t just this funny incident that had me laughing as I went over the manuscript with a fine comb. Charlie’s funny antics kept me entertained for the duration 🙂

Last week, I chatted about the inspiration behind the book on the blog of the fabulous magical realism author, Colleen Chesebro. Hi, everybody! Meet my cat, Loulou (her name is short for ‘Louloudi’, which is Greek for ‘flower’.) Last September, she appeared on my doorstep, barely out of kittenhood, and just six months later she presented me with her newborns! I can hardly believe it! Her four kittens are already two weeks old, and I can’t wait for them to start exploring the garden and playing. I couldn’t hope for a better thing to cheer me up right now, with all the pandemic craziness going on.
