I respect the privacy of my readers, and I am committed to protecting it. I require only a first name and an email address in order to register my readers on my newsletter list.

DATA COLLECTION FOR MY NEWSLETTER
Via my newsletter I inform my readers by email about my news, book offers, and generally whenever I have something fun or newsworthy to report. I send out newsletters sparsely, about twice a month. The only information I request for the registration is a first name and an email address. In every newsletter, I provide the option to unsubscribe. Readers sign up to my newsletter with the use of this form.
DATA COLLECTION FOR COMMENTS
When you leave a comment on my blog posts or my Corfu guide, WordPress and the plugin Disqus store your gravatar name, IP address, and email. Therefore, leaving a comment is considered a clear affirmative action as defined by the GDPR giving me consent to store this information. Your personal information will not be sold to any third parties under any circumstances. If you do not consent to this, please don’t leave a comment.
If you require me to edit or delete a comment you have submitted on my site, kindly send me an email via the contact form below to advise your requirement, and I’ll assist you asap.

All private details that I collect for my newsletter subscribers are stored on the website, EmailOctopus.
I am the sole controller of the data I collect and store on EmailOctopus, and the only person who has access to it on a day-to-day basis. Only in the case of a technical problem, access to this data may be given to their technical team. In every case, the data is treated as strictly confidential, and remains solely available on EmailOctopus.
I will never rent, sell, or share data with others. If a subscriber wishes to see a copy of their private data, I will happily provide the information upon receiving their request by email or via the contact form below.
I retain data for present and past subscribers. If a subscriber wishes for their data to be deleted, I will happily do so upon receiving their request by email or via the contact form below.

I value your trust in providing me with your personal information, and have thus selected EmailOctopus, a reliable email service provider to ensure security for the data I store. As you appreciate, no method of electronic storage on the Internet can be 100% secure and reliable, therefore, I cannot guarantee its absolute security. However, if there is ever a breech I promise to inform the authorities and the affected subscribers by email as soon as possible and within 72 hours.
